Equipment
This is a good time to ensure your child's equipment fits properly and every piece is marked with his/her name. Please refer to our web site www.fireballslacrosse.org for specific equipment needs.
Mouthpieces - everyone needs a mouthpiece in any color EXCEPT clear. They have new higher end mouthpieces this year that claim to be more effective than the basic ones we have used in the past in protecting teeth and preventing concussions. I plan on trying them for my kids. One brand is Tap Out. QCLax stocks them. You should plan on buying multiple ones as your kids tend to lose them.
Indoor footwear - your child can wear sneakers or turf shoes. On some artificial turf facilities the rubber cleats will work as well.
USLacrosse number
You must have a current USLacrosse number to play. They must be renewed annually. Please ensure your number is up-to-date and linked to our program number at www.uslacrosse.org . The Pittsburgh Youth program number is 2194061.
Summer Camps
This is the time to book summer lacrosse camps if you want to take advantage of early registration discounts. You can see links to area camps on our web site. Please check back often as we update this as we learn of more area opportunities.
